TEMPORARY RUBBISH BIN LOCATIONS
Bins have now been deployed to suburb locations for you to dispose of spoiled food and rubbish if your bins were missed.
They are located at:
Annerley – Arnwood Place, left hand side end of street
Fairfield – Venner Road carpark of South Brisbane Cricket Club
Moorooka – Currey Avenue, Moorooka District Football Club carpark
Moorooka – Vendale Avenue, back carpark of The Clubhouse Moorooka (old Moorooka bowls club) near entrance to Koala Park
Oxley – Corner Avalon Street and Valance Street, grass shoulder
Oxley – Bannerman Street, corner Oxley Road
Oxley – Lincoln Street, Cawonga Park
Oxley – Corner Mabel Street and Englefield Road
Rocklea – Sherwood Road, Oxley Common Green Space Environment Centre ring road
Salisbury – Russ Hall Park, entry from Allandale Street
Salisbury – Beaudesert Rd, Brothers St Brendan’s Football Club carpark, Kookaburra Park
Tarragindi – Barr Street, opposite Rochdale Avenue
Tarragindi – Shaftsbury Street, in front of dog off leash area
Tarragindi – Weller Road, Weller Road Scout Group carpark beside primary school
The temporary bins will accept any excess waste from households impacted by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, and are for Brisbane residents only and for household quantities of waste.
Free green waste disposal is also still available at Council’s 4 resource recovery centres to assist residents in the clean-up from TC Alfred.
Residents with utility vehicles are encouraged to participate in the “Ute Army” and help friends and neighbours to clean up green waste or register with Volunteering Queensland (https://volunteeringqld.org.au/)
