Councillor Griffith’s is launching a second community petition to improve the safety of the zebra crossing at Orange Grove Road (Lilian Avenue).

Locals have been raising their concerns over the safety of the zebra crossing for decades. Five years ago, Brisbane City Council acknowledged the site’s risk to pedestrians and committed to investigating how safety could be improved.

The result of that investigation was inconclusive.

Residents of Salisbury know this isn’t good enough. They continue to report near misses, visibility issues, and safety concerns at the site.

If you want to see real action taken to make this crossing safer, sign this petition to Brisbane City Council and make your voice heard.
