Following consultation with sporting clubs and local residents, Council has completed the Mortimer Road Park Master Plan. The master plan provides a broad design for the future development of the site.
Currently Council is working with the State Government and Brisbane Racing Club (who have the lease for Souths Acacia Leagues Club) to design and then build approximately 300 sealed carparks. The new carpark will include lighting, landscaping and meet accessibility standards. It is hoped this project will commence later this calendar year. Carparking will be the basis of future stages of development of the master plan.
