DESCRIPTION:Community members are invited to take part in the Nathan BioBlitz 2026\, a hands-on biodiversity survey celebrating the unique plants and animals found in our local area. \n\nDates: 4-5 September 2026\nTime: 7am-5pm each day \nConducted over two days\, the BioBlitz brings together residents\, students\, researchers and environmental enthusiasts to identify and document species within a designated survey area. Participants will use the iNaturalist app to record observations\, helping build valuable scientific data about local biodiversity. \nThe survey area will differ from previous years\, providing new opportunities to discover and document wildlife and native vegetation. \nParticipants can register for one or both days and are encouraged to bring: \n\nA mobile device with the iNaturalist app installed\nA phone charger or power bank\nSun-safe clothing and a hat\nEnclosed footwear\nWater and food for the duration of participation\n\nThe Nathan BioBlitz is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature\, learn from others and contribute to meaningful citizen science while exploring one of Brisbane’s most important bushland areas.
