Day of Planting with Brisbane Christian College and OCCA
Back in February I had the pleasure of joining members of Oxley Creek Catchment Association as well as 100 students from Brisbane Christian College for a day of planting at Assembly St Park.
This was a fantastic opportunity for school students to engage with the environment around them, and it was a pleasure joining them for the planting.
The event wouldn’t have been possible without support from the Oxley Creek Catchment Association, Brisbane City Council Officers, and the lovely staff from Brisbane Christian College.
Planting in your local area gives you a chance to give back to your community, and gives you the unique opportunity to watch as your hard work pays off over time and the area around you becomes healthier for years to come.
I’m very much looking forward to the next day of planting!
