I’m pleased to share three playgrounds have been approved to be part of the Sun Safe Suburban Playground Program in the Moorooka Ward.
- Antrim Street playground at Antrim Street Park, Acacia Ridge
- Wray Street playground at C.A. O’Sullivan Park, Acacia Ridge
- Lismore Street playground at Norma Croker Park, Acacia Ridge
More shade at playgrounds will allow the community to use playgrounds more often, especially during summer, by cooling playground areas and equipment as well as reducing sun and UV radiation exposure.
